The right tie makes for the perfect present for your favorite guy. Find the best gift with these different types of floral ties for the man in your life.
Finding the perfect gift isn’t always easy. You want something that will bring a smile to your loved one’s face—something that clearly says how much you care about them. Luckily, when it comes to buying a present for Dad, there’s one option you can’t go wrong with: a tie. This classic, versatile, and beloved gift is a great way to give your father something both useful and meaningful. But how do you pick out the perfect tie for the perfect dad? No matter what the occasion is, find the right choice with our easy guide to buying a tie for your dad.
Consider Skinny vs. Wide Ties
The world of tie styles can get confusing, especially if you don’t regularly wear a tie yourself. One of the most important factors to consider is width. Should you get a skinny tie, a wide tie, or something in between?
As with many things in fashion, there are no hard and fast rules; it mostly comes down to someone’s style preferences and body shape. The most important thing to avoid is a tie that looks too big or too small, meaning slimmer men will want to lean toward skinny ties while broader guys will want to choose wider ties. Consider Dad’s sense of style, too. Skinny ties go well with a more modern look, or for a more classic or traditional style, 3-inch neckties are the fashionable choice.
Have Fun With the Design
When it comes to men’s ties, it’s always good to have a solid color or two in your wardrobe. These classy ties are great for any occasion, making them a fashion must-have. As great as a solid, neutral-colored tie is, though, it makes for a pretty boring gift.
Instead, branch out with a more unique design that speaks to Dad’s personality. Think about his favorite colors or patterns he likes to wear. Is your dad a big beach guy? Try a tie with a bright, tropical floral pattern. Thinking creatively like this will help you pick out something truly special and personal for Dad.
Add Something New to His Collection
Another key tip for buying a tie for your dad is to get him something new. Take a peek in his wardrobe to see what he already has and look for a tie—or tie accessory—that lets him branch out with something fresh and exciting. Instead of a necktie, why not try a stylish bow tie? Alternatively, find a classy tie bar to match his favorite outfits. Ideas like these will help spruce up Dad’s wardrobe and help him show off a bit more of his personality with every stylish look.

We recently came across an article on Insider Monkey talking about the 10 most expensive ties in the world. Ties ranged from Ralph Lauren's Black Label Tie at $155 all the way up to a whopping $220,000 for The Suashish tie designed by The Satya Paul Design Studio back in 2003. Seriously?! Ok maybe that's because it's lined with 150 grams of gold and studded with 271 diamonds, but doesn't that seem outrageous for a tie? We think so. Even the least expensive tie on their list seems a little steep at $155.
That is a big reason behind the birth of DAZI in 2015. We noticed that skinny ties, especially those with fun designs, were starting to be a big trend among young adults. But we had such a hard time finding ties for a decent price that we decided to start making our own (you can read more about our story here). We have sold thousands of ties all across the world and had less returns than you can count on one hand. Now we think that's something worth celebrating! We are very proud of the high quality products we create and aim to keep pumping out stuff that people will love. It's motivating to read reviews and hear about your satisfaction!
We understand that you work hard for your money. We don't charge you an arm and a leg to compensate for high quality, and we definitely want you to feel like you get your moneys worth. We're confident that if cared for properly, your ties will last for years to come. One of our customers, Cody, has been wearing our ties for over a year and couldn't say anything better about them:
"To care for my DAZI ties, I always hang them on my tie rack when I am done wearing them. I was a little nervous about one tie in particular where I spilled a little food on it, but they dry clean well! Anyways, I wear a DAZI tie 5 days a week for close to 60 hours and it's been over 12 months and they are holding up outstandingly."
We've put together a list of a few helpful tips to keep your ties looking crisp and clean so they're always fresh and ready to go.
Cotton ties sometimes develop funny folds or wrinkles. Tightly roll the tie, beginning at the small end, and store it on a shelf overnight. This helps the tie return to it's natural form.
If you're traveling and find a few wrinkles in your tie, hang it in the bathroom while you shower. The steam in the room will help press out some of the wrinkles.
Our ties are all made by hand and while they're top quality, they can also be delicate. When removing the tie don't pull vigorously on the knot. Reverse the method you used to tie the knot to prevent the back seam from coming undone over time.
Never store your tie with the knot still in it! That will create one heck of a permanent crease.
Add more ties to your collection. Seriously, giving your favorite tie a few days rest will make it last longer.
Keep out of direct sunlight for extended periods of time as this could dull the colors of your tie. Store in a cool, dry place.
Never, under any circumstance, should you lend your ties to a friend. They will wear them, fall in love, and never give them back. This is a sure way to lose your tie.
Never use your tie as a napkin or a bib. That's just asking for trouble.

If you really want to make your groomsmen look great, you've gotta think outside the box and get with the times. It's 2015, so let's start to incorporate some modern style trends with your groomsmen. Sure, there was a time when it seemed like groomsmen could only wear a snazzy tux and a bowtie or three-piece suit if they wanted to be remembered on a wedding day. What are we getting at here? It's simple. It's time to go skinny.
1. You're not in High School anymore. Throw out your 3-piece suit and bow tie, unless you're going for the Dumb and Dumber look.
2. Your grandpa wore skinny ties, and everyone loves their grandpa.
